Plants for Sale at the Share GardenBe sure to come prepared – as always, there will be plant sales so that you can take a little bit of the Share garden home with you to enjoy throughout the year.

This year, we are delighted to have award-winning stand-up comedian and author John Williams performing at Share's Evening in the Garden. John created ‘My Son’s Not Rainman’ in 2013, a blog and comedy show based on his life bringing up his 12-year old son who has autism and cerebral palsy.

John is keen to point out “It isn’t a story about autism – it’s a story about a young lad who happens to have autism. There’s a difference.” The show, widely recognised for its humour and poignancy, was a huge success at the Edinburgh Festival and has toured throughout the UK and Europe.

John has featured extensively on Radio 4 including the Today programme and Pick of the Year 2015. An excerpt from the show recorded for Radio 4 Four Thought was selected as one of the BBC's Magic Moments of Radio 2015.

John's blog (www.mysonsnotrainman.com) has had over a million hits and is the basis for a book of the same name to be published by Michael O’Mara Books in Autumn 2016.

John says he is appalling at writing about himself in the third person but is brilliant at dance-offs.
