Awards Ceremony 2007
This year SHARE Community's annual Awards Ceremony was held at Wandsworth Civic Suite on Tuesday 13th November 2007. More than two hundred people came to celebrate the academic and personal achievements of students who were presented with their awards by The Mayor of Wandsworth, Councillor Stuart Thom and The Mayor of Lambeth, Councillor Andrew Gibson. Annie McDowall, SHARE Community's Chief Executive also presented some students with Outstanding Achievement Awards.
As some of you may know, it was with deepest sorrow that we learned of the death of SHARE’s General Manager, Peter Jablonski, in December 2006 from cancer. Peter worked at SHARE for nearly twenty five years. As Peter was such a huge part of SHARE we thought it fitting that there is an annual award at the Awards Ceremony in his name. His family made the decision that the award would be for perseverance as this is a quality they closely associate with him. This year the Peter Jablonski Perseverance Award was won by Kathy Lennon and was presented by Peter’s children Ana and Ryan.
