Students enjoying our annual Christmas bash

Students dancing at the party

Our annual Christmas party was a great success this week. Students were served a delicious traditional Christmas lunch with turkey and vegetarian options on offer followed by mince pies and Christmas pudding. Our interactive learning space was transformed into a disco room with DJ Adrian Fraser providing the music with a holiday playlist that got people on the dancefloor.

We had a movie room showing festive films, a games room with a range of board games and other activities, a PlayStation room, and a photo booth. Noisy Christmas celebrations can be stressful for some especially for those with autism. We had two separate calm and relaxed spaces for students to use if they preferred some quiet time.

Thanks so much to Persado, a marketing technology company, who volunteered at the Share garden last month. They kindly offered to fundraise to help support our Christmas event and we’re very grateful for their contribution which helped create such an enjoyable day.

A superb collection of Christmas jumpers was on display, what a great way to end the year!
