January's Recipe of the Month
For a quick and easy breakfast with lots of get up and go first thing in the morning, let Mark show you how to make some delicious overnight oats. You can use any fruit you like. Serve with a spoonful of low fat natural yoghurt.
Ingredients (serves 2)
100g porridge oats
1 tablespoon honey
1 eating apple (skin on)
1 banana sliced
A handful of blueberries
The night before, place the oats and milk with the honey in a bowl. Mix well, cover and place in the fridge overnight.
In the morning, grate the apple and mix it into the oats.
Divide the oat mixture into two bowls, and top with sliced banana and the blueberries, or your fruit of choice.
Top with the yoghurt, if using, and enjoy!
