As you arrive
As you approach Share you will be asked to queue. Please use the floor markings as guidance of where to stand. Each arrival will be called in to reception one at a time to be signed in.
You will need to stop and to wait to be called in. One person at a time can enter reception.
Reception looks a little different. You can see we have a Perspex screen on the desk and we will sign you in ourselves. We will ask you some health and safety questions upon arrival and then you can go straight to your project room.
There is a sanitising station in reception so you can sanitise your hands. There is a bin for the disposal of PPE.
You will notice that staff will be wearing visors or facemaks. We have a visor for each of our students too, which we would encourage you to wear. This will be your visor to keep at Share and wear each time you come in. You don't have to wear it if it is uncomfortable.
Each room now has a capacity limit to allow for social distancing.
14 students and 2 staff can be in the canteen at any one time. The room is laid out to allow for social distancing. We will clean the tables and chairs between sittings. Groups will spend time in the canteen in their daily bubbles.

Immersive Learning Space

The room which we used to call the 'Quiet room' is now the isolation room. This room will only be used by people who are feeling ill.
Two people can use the lift at any one time. Use the markings on the floor to stand to wait for the lift. There are also markings inside the lift so you know where to stand to aid social distancing.

Fewer touch points
Most doors will have a door guard - this means the door can be kept open and it will shut automatically if the fire alarm goes off. This means there are fewer touch points around the building.
Most doors will have a foot plate. This means you can use your foot to open the door instead of your hand. This means there are less touch points around the building.
Only one student (and their carer) may use the toilets at a time. If the toilets are full, please wait outside.
There are lots of signs around the building to remind everyone to keep social distance.
Each student will have their own individual pack. This will be only used by them. This will mean there is less sharing.
New staff office
The old digital skills room is now the staff office.
A key development to keep our building COVID-secure is the implementation of a new ventilation system, designed to ensure clean air flow through the building. We also regularly open the windows in all our teaching and activity rooms to allow for a good flow of fresh air through the spaces.
