Share's life and basic skills tutor, Julia Roxborough, has just graduated from Canterbury University with a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS), specialising in literacy, which looks at different ways of helping people to read and write.
Julia completed her studies over two years through Kensington and Chelsea College. As Julia is dyslexic, she received support from the College to complete her dissertation and, based on this personal experience, understands the importance of support when learning – something she brings to the fore in her own teaching here at Share.
Students at Share love Julia's unique and innovative classes, which bring together a blend of encouragement and support, while nurturing students' abilities and interests.
Congratulations to Julia from everyone at Share. In the words of our chief executive, Annie McDowall, 'You are an inspiration!'.
