The Wimbledon Foundation, in conjunction with the London Community Foundation, has awarded Share just under £80,000 over three years for its 'Live Well, Feel Great!' project, a holistic healthy living programme with sustainable, lifelong benefits for adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs or long-term health conditions.
The project will help our students to adopt healthier lifestyles, and encourage them to have better awareness of how to take care of themselves. In addition, the project aims to reach out to others with complex needs to help them to have better physical health and mental wellbeing.
The project will be run by Share's Healtly Living Coordinator, working in association with Share's Wellbeing team.
The London Community Foundation previously awarded Share just under £5000 to run sports activities at Share. All of this work underpins Share's goal of improving the health and wellbeing of our students through regular exercise and healthy eating.
The London Community Foundation works with the Wimbledon Foundation, which aims to benefit the community and provide support for local organisations to meet social needs in the boroughs of Merton and Wandsworth.
