Share expands services at Brixton site

Students in a digital life skills session with their tutor at Share Community in Brixton

In 2020 we opened a satellite site at We Are 336 in Brixton to provide additional education and training sessions for our Lambeth-based students in their local area. We Are 336 is fully accessible and home to a dynamic community of charities providing vital services for disabled people.

We’re now developing our services at the site, expanding our timetable to offer sessions four days a week, from Monday to Thursday. We’ve added more Digital Life Skills classes and community based learning Get Out and About sessions to the timetable which also includes employability skills classes and art sessions.

To facilitate the expansion, we’re also developing our office space to provide improved onsite staff and wellbeing support. And with the support of Lambeth Borough Council, we’re creating an on-site kitchen facility to teach people how to cook nutritious meals at home. Students will learn about food safety and preparation, which utensils to use, and simple cooking techniques, giving them the skills to prepare a healthy meal independently.
