Share's summer events in the Share Garden kicked off in May with our Plant Sale and Healthy Living Community Day – it was great to see so many of our community – neighbours, friends and supporters – from in and around Wandsworth at our Plant Sale and Healthy Living Community Day on 20th May.
With polytunnels and greenhouses brimming with plants for sale, lots of healthy living activities to try, and delicious treats from the Share Catering pop-up café to keep everyone going, there was a little something for everyone.
Huge thanks to everyone who who made our day special – with particular thanks to Janet Evans, Movement Works, Jonathan Clark, Bikeworks and Wheels for Wellbeing, Disability Sports Coach (DSC) and Treblemakers who all gave up their time to support Share – as well as all the local businesses and the Wimbledon Foundation who donated prizes for our tombola prize draw.
The day raised over £2000 which will be used to develop our healthy living project, to help more of our students to live happy, healthy lives by eating well and exercising more.
This was swiftly followed by a suite of events in the Share Garden in June, including taking part in Open Garden Squares Weekend, Share's Summer Garden Party for all our students and their friends and families, and Share's Evening in the Garden with our sponsors, supporters and friends.
Thank you to all our guests for helping us to celebrate all that makes Share simply amazing. Special mention must of course go to the Tooting Business Network, who once again sponsored our Summer Garden Party in association with the Khalsa Centre, and the folks at Polesden Lacey who have continued to provide super raffle prizes for our parties for many years.
You can see all the photos from these events on Share's Facebook Page.
