Share Annual Awards 2018

Share's Annual Awards Ceremony took place on 6th November 2018 at the Wandsworth Civic Suite. An extra special occasion this year as we celebrated our Autism Accreditation by the National Autistic Society

We were delighted to have Cllr Piers McCausland, the Mayor of Wandsworth, as well as Marsha de Cordova, our local MP for Battersea and the Shadow Minister for Disabled People, to help us celebrate in style and do the honours by presenting all the certificates to our students and volunteers.

As well as accredited certificates, special awards were presented in recognition of outstanding performance throughout the year to: Shaun Moulton, Shanice Tomlinson, Charlotte Byrant-Bailey, Ummair Mohammed and Charles Easey.

The Jablonski Award for Perseverance and Outstanding Achievement in the Face of Adversity, presented each year in memory of Peter Jablonski, a former manager at Share, was this year given to Harris Aslam for facing the daily challenges of life so bravely and with such tenacity.

As autism was the theme of the show this year, it seemed fitting to have one of our wonderful partners, Movement Works, who specialise in developmental movement dance and deliver a weekly movement dance class for Share students, join us to get our guests active, moving and dancing – nothing like a bit of physical exercise to lift the mood and work up a good appetite for lunch, this year provided by our very own Share Catering.

Check out all the great photos below from this year's event.
