The current health crisis is having an impact on everybody’s lives, but the impact is especially acute for those with additional support needs and their parents and carers. Many support networks have been disrupted leading to uncertainty, fear and anxiety.
At Share we’re working hard to respond to the needs of our students and help them maintain their wellbeing. And we continue to develop our services to support people through this difficult time. Working with Wandsworth Council and Generate, which supports people with learning disabilities, we've launched a community meals project and we urgently need donations to help fund this work. We're using our professional kitchens to provide freshly cooked nutritious meals for our students and those in need in the local community.
We have some fantastic support from organisations like Waste Not Want Not in Battersea helping to source fresh ingredients.
