Share students enjoyed an inclusive cycling session with Wheels for Wellbeing recently thanks to a grant from Walking and Cycling Grants London. The programme is funded by Transport for London in partnership with The London Marathon Foundation and managed by the environmental regeneration charity Groundwork London.

Everyone loved trying out all the different bikes. Danny said, ‘It was good, I liked to cycle in a circle in the velodrome. I liked the low bike with three wheels.’ 

We’re so excited to be working with the Friends of Windmill Gardens (FoWG) and Urban Canopy on a new project creating a sensory garden. Workshops and sessions will improve our students’ social skills, confidence, employability skills, and wellbeing. We’ve been keen to work with the Windmill on a gardening project for some time, and we can’t wait to get started!

• Just £5 per month means we can buy seeds for five students to create a salad garden as part of their horticulture course. 
• £10 a month pays for two students to create hygiene and safety portfolios as part of our catering course.
• And £30 pays for the examination fees for an accredited course for one student. 

Regular giving in this way is vital to help charities like Share. Guaranteed income from monthly givers means we can plan and invest in our services longer term, providing more programmes and support for disabled people and their families. 

Thanks to a community grant from NHS SW London we've been exploring meditation, mindfulness, and other ways to encourage positive mental health.

Students have enjoyed sensory movement sessions and 'sound yoga' with more to come including mental health first aid sessions.

We're looking for spare denim for an upcoming art project in fashion upcycling. Ideally we need shirts or jackets but any denim will do.
