Support our dance fundraiser this summer and help disabled adults experience the joy of creative movement

Help give adults with learning disabilities the chance to dance!

We've just launched our summer fundraiser to raise money to keep funding dance and other creative sessions for our students.

We're working on a dance project with RADiate, a group of specialists who currently work with children with additional learning needs and autism at the Royal Acadamy of Dance (RAD). This project will allow RADiate and Share to explore a similar approach with adults, giving Share’s students the opportunity to find freedom and enjoyment by expressing their own voices and individuality through movement and dance.

But we need your help to make creative projects like these happen! Not only will your support help our students improve their mobility, balance, and coordination, it'll also help to build confidence, trust, and communication.

Share students had a blast during fun week

Twice a year, in June and December, we reflect with our students on their achievements over the previous six months. To celebrate, we run what we call a 'fun week', with various activities like talent shows, games, and movies for students to enjoy.

A massive thank you to our lovely neighbours, Brand Brewery, who organised a sports day on Clapham Common as part of our June fun week this year.

We had an unforgettable day in the sunshine, with hula hooping, egg and spoon races, and the obligatory tug of war!

Interview with Charlotte - healthy eating!

Charlotte recently joined our Health and Wellbeing class and she's been doing a great job with her healthy eating.

We thought we'd ask her a few questions to see what tips she might have for others looking to improve their diet and lifestyle.

What's your favourite healthy meal?
'Sandwiches with loads of salad!'

What has Share taught you about healthy eating?
'To eat fruit and vegetables every day, your five a day. And drink lots of water.'

What advice would you give to someone trying to live a healthier lifestyle?
'Eat a lot of salad and fruit and try to drink more water, not fizzy drinks. It's hard to do, but you have to stick to it. I go swimming every day and I like going to the gym with my friends from Share too. You can also go on long walks'.
