Welcome to our latest newsletter. From cooking competitions and creative free-time activities to our new impact report and fundraising update, there’s lots to celebrate and share. As the year draws to a close, we'd like to say thank you to everyone who has supported our work. Seasons greetings from everyone at Share and best wishes for the new year!

Announcing the winners of our cooking competition

Our students have been busy cooking up a storm! To celebrate the launch of our easy read cookbook, we invited students to take part in a fun cooking competition. To enter, they sent in a photo of themselves cooking a recipe from the book, and one of the finished dish. Winners Kerry-Louise, Derek and Abl each received a £25 supermarket voucher. We were thrilled so see so many entries and we hope students are inspired to cook more at home in future.

Our latest impact report
We’re pleased to share our newly published 2024–2025 Impact Report, showcasing the progress our students have made over the past year. The report highlights not only our achievements, but also our continued commitment to person-centred support, empowering our students to build the skills and confidence needed to lead happier, healthier, and more independent lives. We'd like to thank all our supporters who have made our work possible.

Help us reach our fundraising appeal target, we're 64% there!

A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated to our employability fundraising appeal. Your generosity will make a real difference and we're deeply grateful for your support.

Thanks to you, we're well on our way to reaching our £5,000 target - but there's still some way to go. If you haven't yet donated please consider supporting the appeal and helping us to reach our target, thank you!

Vote for Daniel's film

The film that we used as part of our fundraising appeal has been nominated for the Smiley Charity Film Awards! Made by the Media Trust and funded by Santander, the film stars student Daniel who shares his story about how he found work in a record store. Please take a minute or two to cast your vote and help raise visibility for the film. This is a fantastic opportunity to keep raising awareness of the employment inequalities adults with a learning disability and autistic adults face.

Introducing: jazz club!

Our staff and students are a creative bunch, and free time on Wednesdays has taken on a new life with the launch of jazz club. The scene is set using our Immersive Learning Suite to project moody lighting and play jazz on screen. Tables are draped with tablecloths and soft drinks are served in fancy glasses, giving everyone a great opportunity to unwind, be social, and enjoy something a little different together.
