Please support our COVID-19 community meals appeal

The current health crisis is having an impact on everybody’s lives, but the impact is especially acute for those with additional support needs and their parents and carers. Many support networks have been disrupted leading to uncertainty, fear and anxiety.

At Share we’re working hard to respond to the needs of our students and help them maintain their wellbeing. And we continue to develop our services to support people through this difficult time. We've just launched a community meals project and we urgently need donations to help fund this work. We're using our professional kitchens to provide freshly cooked nutritious meals for our students and those in need in the local community. By donating to this appeal you’ll help vulnerable adults eat a balanced diet and stay healthy and well.

Please help share our appeal by forwarding this newsletter or sharing our social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).

Virtual Fundraising Quiz

Get your thinking caps on! We’re running a virtual quiz on Zoom on Sunday 17th May at 7pm to help raise money for our COVID-19 community meals appeal. The suggested donation is £5 to £25 per team via our Virgin Money Fundraising page. The quiz will last around an hour to an hour and a half with a short break in the middle. What better way to spend a Sunday evening right now, why not have a bit of social distancing fun from the comfort of your own home? We’d love you to join us and help raise money to support vulnerable adults in the community.

Fundraise for Share

Now more than ever we need your help to provide essential services to support those with learning disabilities maintain their wellbeing. We’re always happy to hear from anyone who would like to fundraise for Share. You could easily set up a Justgiving or Virgin Money Giving page. There are so many simple, fun ways to fundraise during lockdown. So release your inner fundraiser!

You could set an indoor challenge and get people to sponsor you, set an outdoor physical challenge, walk around the block a certain number of times, do a run, hold a bake off at home with family. Children could do chores for money and donate their earnings! Or simply donate your commute or what you’d normally spend on coffee.

If you’d like to help, Gabrielle Antoniou would love to hear from you at gabriellea@sharecommunity.org.uk to discuss ideas.
