Share students work at Wimbledon

It was an action-packed couple of weeks at Wimbledon recently for some of our Steps into Employment students. They’ve been busy working at the championships in a range of paid roles thanks to the Wimbledon Foundation. Their 'Work at Wimbledon' initiative offers supported pathways into employment for people facing barriers to getting jobs.

New session to support wellbeing through mindfulness and sensory connection

We’ve launched Mindful Moments, a new programme to support our students’ emotional wellbeing. Set in our immersive 4D learning space, the sessions offer a calm and inclusive environment to explore meditation and sensory activities to help manage stress. Co-created with students, Mindful Moments is proving to be a powerful new tool for self-care and emotional growth.

New scholarships launched to boost employment opportunities for our students

Three Share students have been awarded scholarships thanks to a new partnership with The CiaO Foundation and its generous supporters: Almacantar, Act 111, and London Metric. The scheme funds an extra day of skills-based training each week for up to three years, helping students build confidence, grow independence and move closer to paid employment.

Sports day on the common a big hit!

Huge thanks to our neighbours Brand Brewery who yet again ran and hosted an amazing sports day for us on Clapham Common. This has become a real highlight of our summer, with our students taking part in hula hooping, egg and spoon races, football, catch the water balloon, musical statues, and the hugely popular tug of war! We wrapped up the day with an awards ceremony where students received gold medals and certificates.
