This is a final quick update for the year to wish you a very enjoyable holiday season and a happy New Year! We’d like to express our heartfelt appreciation to everybody who has shown us support. From our volunteers, donors, funders, trustees, staff, to our wonderful students, thank you!
What a great year we’ve had at Share and we’re looking forward to another busy and fulfilling year in 2020. Just a reminder that our annual impact report is available and is produced in an A4 calendar format so if you’d like one for 2020 please email marcomms@sharecommunity.org.uk and we’ll pop one in the post for you.

Christmas jumpers galore at our annual party!
Ho ho ho! Our student Christmas party went down a storm this year. Our dedicated staff put on a day to remember. Our students tucked into a full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. The day was jam packed with plenty of activities for students to choose from. We had movies, games, a photo booth, a disco with the fabulous DJ Adrian Fraser and chill out spaces for those who preferred some quiet time.
Thanks so much to Persado who after volunteering for us kindly supported the event by fundraising and donating to help make the day so much fun.

Share sings seasonal songs
We’re delighted to be working with the new look M&S food store in Clapham Junction. We’ve been chosen as their charity of the year and were thrilled to visit the store at a busy lunchtime and fundraise by singing our hearts out performing a variety of festive tunes. We had our very own choirmaster James who helped us rehearse and put on the performance. It wasn’t long before M&S customers and people passing by took a break from their busy shopping to enjoy the entertainment. We were especially humbled by the generosity of a Big Issue seller who donated to our cause. It really shows the genuine kindness of people and we were sincerely moved by her act of goodwill.

We need more bank staff
A flexible workforce is essential for us to provide continued quality support and services to our students. We need bank staff who can step in on an ad hoc basis to provide cover for our teachers when they’re on leave or unwell. We currently need SEN tutors to teach independent living, employability, digital skills and/or English and maths courses at our site in Clapham Junction. We also need horticultural trainers to work at our garden in Tooting. Classes run from 10am until 4pm and work is offered as-needed and normally booked in advance. If this is you please get in touch with Leanne at leannew@sharecommunity.org.uk.
