New courses launching in Lambeth

We're excited to announce the launch of two new courses at We are 336 in Brixton. We're committed to developing innovative programmes that support our students to build their communication skills and become more independent, both at home and in the community.

Students now have the chance to take part in a range of sensory activities in Creative Expression sessions, and venture into the local area as part of our Community Living programme to find out about services and facilities nearby.

Drop in to our community café for coffee and cake!

Thanks to the generous donation of a commercial coffee machine by hospitality provider BaxterStorey, we’re now preparing freshly brewed coffee and other hot drinks to sell to the public at our community café at the Black Prince Community Hub in Lambeth.

We already use the space to run a successful community meals project, where students and staff prepare free healthy meals for local residents in need. We're now delighted to expand our catering activities at the site and Share café staff have already undertaken barista training. We’re planning further barista training for students to gain new employability skills in catering and hospitality.

The café is open Monday to Thursday from 11am until 3.30pm so pop by to sample excellent coffee and cake!

We need volunteers at the Share Garden

Do you have green fingers? Would you like to use your gardening skills to help others?

The therapeutic powers of gardening are well known, and the Share Garden has been supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs for many years, helping them to move towards their personal goals, open up career opportunities and build confidence.

We need volunteers to work with our tutors to support students during training sessions. This could be sowing seeds, harvesting vegetables or weeding out flower beds. You don’t need advanced gardening skills, you just need to be passionate about greenery and keen to support disabled people.

Make a regular donation to Share

You could make a big difference to our work with just a small monthly gift. We rely on donations to deliver the range and quality of services essential to support disabled adults to have more choice and independence.

  • Just £5 per month means we can buy seeds for five students to create a salad garden as part of their horticulture course.
  • £10 a month pays for two students to create hygiene and safety portfolios as part of our catering course.
  • And £30 pays for the examination fees for an accredited course for one student.

Regular giving in this way is vital to help charities like Share. Guaranteed income from monthly givers means we can plan and invest in our services longer term, providing more programmes and support for disabled people and their families.

Share maintains Investors in People Gold accreditation

We’re delighted to confirm that our Investors in People Gold accreditation remains in place following a review assessment at the end of last year. This means we have the right policies in place to make Share a great place to work, and all our employees take ownership for making them come to life.
