We recently hosted a post-16 SEND open day at our Community Café, bringing together local organisations, young people, parents, carers and professionals to find out about education, training and employability opportunities in Lambeth and beyond. Our students helped welcome guests and serve refreshments, putting their own catering and customer service skills into practice.

Our Steps into Employment students enjoyed an inspiring day of hands-on barista training with SEND Coffee. They learned about coffee, practised using professional equipment and picked up skills they can continue developing in our Community Café.

We’re so excited to launch a brand new music production course this October, giving students the chance to get hands on with DJ decks, music production software and other specialist equipment. As well as learning to mix tracks and create their own music, students will build their confidence and social skills, with opportunities to share their music and perform. We can't wait to see, or should we say hear, what they create!

Whether exploring creativity, learning a new life skill or taking part in work experience, our students are making progress one step at a time. But providing the full range of programmes that we do, including extra opportunities like our Go Anywhere, Do Anything and Befriending projects, means we rely on donations.
