Successful SEND Open Day hosted at Share Vauxhall

Wednesday, 30 Sep 2026

We were delighted to host a post-16 SEND open day at our Community Café in Vauxhall, bringing together young people, parents, carers and professionals with local organisations to find out about education, employability and support opportunities in Lambeth.

We were joined by The Autism Project/CareTrade, Roots and Shoots, Nido Volans, Lambeth Parent Forum and Contact Lambeth. It was a great opportunity for families to meet local providers, ask questions and find out more about the support and opportunities available.

Our students also played an important part in the day, helping to welcome guests and serving refreshments, cakes and sandwiches from the Community Café. It was a chance for them to put their customer service and catering skills into practice while helping to create a warm welcome for visitors.

We really enjoyed meeting prospective students and chatting with parents and carers about Share and our services. It was also lovely to see organisations from across the local SEND community coming together to share information and make connections.

This was the first time Share has hosted the event, following successful open days previously held by Park College, The Autism Project/CareTrade, and Roots and Shoots. We’re pleased to have joined the group of organisations hosting these events and look forward to hosting more in the future.
