We’re delighted to launch a brand new music production course at Share this October, giving students the chance to explore DJing and music production in a fun, supportive, and creative environment.

Students will get hands-on with DJ decks, samplers and sequencers, as well as music production software and apps. They’ll learn how to mix tracks, record and edit sounds, create their own music, and put together DJ sets.

The course is about more than learning how to use the equipment. Students will have space to experiment, share ideas and discover new music while developing their own musical style. They’ll explore different genres and artists, work with other students and build their confidence as performers.

There'll be plenty of opportunities to create and share music, from producing original tracks to planning performances and, where appropriate, performing at Share and in the wider community. We also plan to work with specialist partners to bring new experiences and expertise into the course.

Students will be supported to learn at their own pace, with a mixture of group activities and tailored learning. Alongside technical and creative skills, the course will help students develop communication, teamwork, confidence and independence.

We can't wait to see what students produce! 

The course is currently scheduled to run at our Clapham Junction site on Thursdays and at Share Brixton on Mondays.
