Dr Robert Arnott
Chair
Robert is a senior civil servant, having held director roles in the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, 10 Downing Street, the Department for Education and the Home Office. These have been anchored primarily around organisational strategy, performance, reform and policy design. Robert leads “high risk” reviews of HM Government’s major programmes, for the Infrastructure and Projects Authority. From 2013-2024, he was chair of trustees of the Cardinal Hume Centre, a charity of roughly the same size as Share Community, focused on preventing and responding to youth homelessness. He and his wife have two sons, and in his free time, Robert is interested in current affairs, classical music (particularly early choral music), political biography and modern history.
