Do you want to do something great for your community, whilst having a really fun time? We are looking for volunteers to support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults to express themselves through drama.
About Share
Share is a registered charity and a centre for training and wellbeing. We provide a range of programmes helping adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, and adults with other support needs become more happy, healthy and independent. Our vision is a world where disabled people are fully included in society, living the life they choose, and we need talented people like you to help us make that happen.
About the role
Our drama group at Share is new, and we're looking for a volunteer to support the group. Each week the group explores fun and accessible drama games, imaginative story telling and simple improvisation activities that encourage teamwork and play.
In the role, you will support the lead facilitator to deliver the session, support students 1-1 or in small groups, and assist and perform with students in drama games and classroom performances.
Commitment
You'll need to attend weekly volunteering sessions on Tuesdays, from 11am to 3pm.
Who we’re looking for
Our ideal volunteer is someone who is reliable with a flexible and creative approach. Theatre and drama experience is not essential but enthusiasm and a willingness to give things a go is.
