Inclusive dance performance at the Wandsworth Arts Fringe

We’re so proud of our art students who put on a stellar performance in June as part of the Wandsworth Arts Fringe 2023. Working in partnership with the Royal Academy of Dance, our artists performed the story of Kubera Meets Ganesha, with traditional Indian Dance, to a packed audience. This is our third year taking part in the Wandsworth Arts Fringe, an eclectic arts festival that showcases a mix of artists and communities through an inclusive programme that anyone can be part of.

At Share we aim to build a better understanding of people with learning disabilities. Working in partnership with major arts organisations, like the Royal Academy of Dance, is very important to us. It helps to showcase our students’ abilities and gives them opportunities to express themselves creatively.

Share artists have been working on the performance through a series of workshops since January, and they also created the stunning artwork that formed the backdrop to the show. Many of our other students came along to give their peers some support and enjoy the show at the Royal Academy of Dance headquarters on York Road.
