Share students shine at Wandsworth Arts Fringe event

Lots of multicoloured 3D printed models of people wearing hats, displayed on a chessboard

We were thrilled to take part in a millinery fashion show and exhibition at the Royal Academy of Dance, part of the 2022 Wandsworth Arts Fringe. Our students have loved taking part in this unique project, designing bespoke headwear in a series of joint workshops with students from the Royal College of Art's MA Fashion programme. The project, called Fashion + Joy = Share + RCA,  sought to make art and fashion accessible to everyone.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to the team from the Royal College of Art who have worked so hard and been incredibly supportive, helping to challenge ableism and giving our students the chance to shine in their own right as creative artists.

Culminating in a fashion show where students modelled their hat designs, the project also featured an exhibition in the foyer alongside the event that displayed a stunning array of portraits, together with a display of 3D printed models created at an earlier workshop.
