Our Annual Awards Day took place on Tuesday 12th December at the Wandsworth Civic Suite. As always it was an uplifting and vibrant celebration of all the steps our students have taken towards their goals over the past year.
We were honoured to be joined by the Mayor of Wandsworth, Juliana Annan, who presented certificates to all our students. The day was also a great opportunity to thank all those who support us, including our wonderful volunteers for their time and dedication.
For the second year running we presented our new Annie McDowall special award for a project that benefits the local community. We were delighted that Annie McDowall, the former CEO of Share, was there to present certificates to the winners. This year the award went to 'In the Mix' - an art project that provides mentoring for five Share art students with a view to exhibiting their work in 2024.
Highlights of the day included a body percussion workshop, a sing-along and Makaton sign-along to 'What a Wonderful World', and a fun energetic dance session led by Share student Jodie, who had everyone up on their feet and joining in.
